Role Purpose
We are seeking an Associate Partner – Energy (Japan) to enhance our advisory and market engagement in Japan’s fast-evolving energy and clean technology space. The associate partner will play a key role in guiding our clients on Japan’s energy transition roadmap, hydrogen economy, and renewable investments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide insights into Japan’s national energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and energy transition roadmap.
- Lead market intelligence, investment assessments, and feasibility reviews for renewables, hydrogen, and clean energy projects.
- Support client interactions with industry, government, and investors in Japan.
- Contribute to proposals, pitch materials, and market entry strategies tailored to Japanese clients.
- Represent the firm in Japanese and regional energy dialogues, forums, and expert panels.
- Act as a bridge between global clients and Japanese stakeholders, ensuring cultural and market alignment.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 15 years of professional experience in Japan’s energy industry, consulting, or government policy.
- Strong expertise in renewables, hydrogen, power sector development, and Japan’s energy transition policies.
- Well-established professional networks in Japanese government agencies, utilities, corporates, and financial institutions.
- Recognized leadership or advisory roles in energy transition or clean technology initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to collaborate flexibly in project-based assignments.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (both essential).
Engagement Terms
This is a non-monetary, project-based collaboration role. The Associate Partner will be engaged on selected projects where their expertise and networks are most relevant. Engagement is flexible and based on mutual availability.
