Raaj Nair is a seasoned defence and aerospace professional with over a decade of experience working across government, public-sector undertakings, global OEMs, and private defence manufacturers. He brings deep domain expertise in defence procurement, indigenisation, technology transfer, and international partnerships, with a strong focus on enabling Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

Raaj has led and advised complex engagements involving Indian Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence, DPSUs, paramilitary forces, and global defence OEMs, supporting end-to-end activities ranging from strategic sourcing and indigenisation of imported components to setting up joint ventures, licensed manufacturing, and turnkey defence manufacturing facilities. His experience spans small and large calibre ammunition, weapon systems, aviation spares, maritime systems, drones, radars, and advanced defence technologies.

He has successfully facilitated technology transfers (ToT) from international partners and overseen licensed manufacturing programs in India, bridging global capability with local execution. Shalini’s career spans leadership roles across Digital India Corporation, National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Avantha Group, Bechtel, xMonks and Hindustan Lever Limited—where she consistently handled high-stakes execution environments involving multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, regulatory interfaces, and large operating teams.

A defining highlight of her career was serving as Program Lead for the Government of India’s flagship Poshan Tracker, where she drove execution from concept design to nationwide rollout at population scale. Managing coordination across central ministries, state governments, field workers, and technology teams, she ensured reliable delivery under real-world constraints. Her leadership earned the Prime Minister’s Award 2024 and the National e-Governance Award 2024, recognising excellence in execution, scale, and impact.

Across her corporate roles, Shalini has built a reputation for execution under complexity. At Avantha Group, she led organisation-wide programs spanning leadership alignment, operating rhythm, and transformation delivery.
